Job Title: IT Technician, 1st/2nd Line Support
Salary: £20,000 to £28,000
We are recruiting a 1st/2nd Line IT Support role for a niche service provider based in Uttoxeter. You will be part of a busy and productive team that supports hundreds of users across the business.
You will be providing support to the company’s IT infrastructure and associated hardware, this includes desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, handheld scanners and peripherals such as printers. You will also be involved with the restructure of the Active Directory, creating group policies, helping to make the IT department and business more efficient. Your duties will include helpdesk support, fault monitoring, troubleshooting, remote server support, infrastructure support and working with Active Directory.
Supporting more than 800 users at various levels in the business, you will be an effective communicator able to communicate at all levels. A keen eye for detail and methodical, you will be able to prioritise your workload, deciding which ticket to work on first. Working as part of a close three person team you will be a good team player. Experience of Windows Server 2003 or higher, Windows XP and higher, Exchange Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
