This is a fantastic opportunity to join the development team of a 25-year established cutting-edge software house as a Java Developer. With a focus on someone with Java and Spring development experience, this position would allow you to work remotely majority of the time, whilst going into their office in Birmingham roughly once to twice a month.

Working with the world’s leading data organisation technology, you will help manage corporate organisations ever-growing mountain of data to provide Net Zero data analytics consultancy, ensuring their customers get a clear view of exactly what is happening within their business and removing all misinformation.

Talk me through the role…

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining software deployments on their Accelerated Insight Platform. You will contribute to the architecture of the platform, as well as mentoring junior/mid-level developers in good development practices, such as driving code efficiency, enhance functionality, and providing high standard test coverage.

The role will provide lots of opportunities to expose yourself to learn cloud development techniques in Azure and DevOps, alongside the chance to work full stack, using the latest versions of Angular.

Am I A Good Fit?

Our client is looking for a self-motivated Java Developer with experience (around 3-4 years) in core Java design, alongside developmental experience using Java + and Spring Boot. You would be expected to work with stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories, contributing to the overall success of software projects. Other key aspects of a successful applicants of this role include:

  • Experience in an Agile Environment, ideally using Jira.
  • Angular experience would be welcome, but training can be provided.
  • A passion about the development, creation, and design of projects from scratch.
  • A want to develop your skills into cloud development and DevOps.
