Position: Java Development Team Leader

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 plus 10% Bonus

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lead Java developer to build and grow an entirely new Java Development team with a FTSE 250 company based in Birmingham close to New Street Station.

The Role

You will be tasked with creating and growing a brand new Java development team providing them with technical guidance and leadership, exhibiting exemplary technical and interpersonal skills.

You be expected to be able to develop code, lead code reviews and provide technical analysis where required. You should have good knowledge of design patterns, continuous integration, and be able to coach less experienced team members.

The role will involve development, maintenance and implementation of business critical software solutions including their main customer facing website.

Key Experience Required

You will have at least 5 years of commercial Java development experience and will have had team leading responsibilities within your previous roles.

As well as Java we would expect you to have experience in most of the following:

Languages: Java, SQL, Javascript, XML, XSLT, CSS, & HTML, Responsive Design

RDBMS: SQL Server, Oracle, Ingres

IDE: Eclipse

Frameworks: Struts, JQuery

Products: Webmethods Designer

Application server: Tomcat

Any experience of integrating with Webmethods ESB would be welcomed but experience of integrating with any ESB would be fine.
