Junior Contracts Manager (Steel cladding)
c. £30,000 plus car allowance and pension.

As a result of recent expansion, an established external steel building contractor seeks to recruit a Junior Contracts Manager to manage projects across Herefordshire.

The Role
Your role as a Junior Contracts Manager sees you tasked with looking after approximately 9 projects at any one time with responsibility for ensuring each project is completed on time and within budget.

You will find the role has aspects that require you to be very ’hands on’ and be responsible for each Supervisor on site and the associated steel fitter subcontractors.

You must be able to learn quickly under the supervision of the Contracts Director and Senior Contracts Manager.

The projects will be new build and refurbishment of supermarkets and car showroom extensions as well as standard one off new buildings.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in a management role – ideally from within the steel construction sector although consideration will be given to those from other areas of the metal fabrication and installation construction market including internal refurbishment.

You must have construction management experience and a proven track record of bringing construction projects in on time and at least on budget, if not under it.

It is vital that you have a relevant construction trade background and that you are a driver as there will be travel to sites.

Established for over 25 years, this company employ over 20 people, have a turnover in excess of £5 million. They are seeking this brand new role to assist in further expansion of their steel building, roofing and cladding business.
