Our client, a world leader in the design and manufacture of marine access systems, including gangways, ladders and pedestrian access equipment, is seeking an ambitious Junior Project Manager to oversee small range projects with a value up to £25k.

The role will involve managing client relationships, project logistics, and ensuring the smooth progression of project documentation through the company's workflow, and will suit engineering graduate or Diploma calibre individuals with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a fabrication, marine or related industry.

Offering a salary of up to £30,000 dependent on experience plus benefits including 34hrs per week working pattern, 4% Pension, 1 x death in service life insurance, plus group income protection plan. The Role
This is a fast-paced role with roughly 20-30 small gangways being delivered each month. As a confident and well organised Junior Project Manager with strong planning and problem-solving skills you would be tasked with…
- Supervising the flow of projects through production and any subcontractors, ensuring focus on the cost, quality and delivery and maintain a photo record of activities
- Interpreting the brief from the Tendering team and/or Client of the requirements of the project and ensuring internal departments are working towards them
- Developing the purchase specification and assist in the selection and management of suppliers
- Ensuring materials and stock are ordered and organised to meet the project timescales
- Maintaining constructive relationships with clients, ensuring that the Company is presented to clients, contractors, vendors and public in a positive, professional manner
- Monitoring progress, update project plan and reports, manage project document control

The Candidate
The ideal Junior Project Manager candidate will possess…
- A degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fabrication or marine industries
- Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV, Lloyds, EN, and ISO
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, and drafting software like AutoCAD
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel for work-related purposes
- Strong design, planning, problem-solving, and client service skills
