An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Manager at a well-known dairy food manufacturer based in Yorkshire as a result of steady growth in the company.
The Laboratory Manager will manage a team of technicians whose responsibility it is to ensure that all aspects of sampling and testing of raw, intermediate, and packed product ensuring that all results are reviewed to ensure the timely release of all products.
Specifically you will be responsible for the continuous implementation of the company’s quality assurance system and identify further improvements and promoting a safe working environment for all staff and ensuring compliance with the health and safety legislation. You will also be tasked with ensuring the laboratory technicians advise departmental managers on any non-compliance for rectification.
The successful candidate will need to have experience in a Laboratory Manager / Technical Manager role within the food environment. You will have managed a team and demonstrate a proven track record of process improvement across areas including quality and safety.
