A leading US food and beverage company currently have an opportunity for an accomplished logistics professional to play a key role in their imminent rollout into the UK market. If you have significant experience developing and implementing warehousing and logistics systems and processes and are looking for a chance to use your skills and expertise in an exciting new role then we’d love to hear from you.
This is an integral role in the company’s successful move into the UK market. You would be tasked with the development and execution of warehousing and distribution strategies, taking responsibility for all incoming freight and ensuring products reach key UK customers. Duties will include…
o Management of the booking of Sea Freight from the USA to UK, ensuring DIFOT to key customer accounts
o Managing item set ups in 3PL warehouses
o Collaborating with the demand planning team in the USA to establish a continuous flow of information for production planning
o Review customer portal data at store level to ensure no out of stock or short code issues
o Continual focus on internal performance and third parties, carriers and partners to identify opportunities for improvement to the distribution process
o Cross functional work involved with the establishment of a new brand into a new market
A commercially sound and driven individual, you will have significant 3PL and warehousing experience, with a demonstrable track record successfully developing and implementing new systems and processes in previous high profile roles. You must have in depth knowledge of logistical administration and cost controls, a practical understanding of government legislation and requirements, as well as a passionate commitment to excellent standards of customer service. The role will suit a flexible self-starter, someone able to operate autonomously as well as effectively as part of a global team.
