We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dementia specialist to lead in this new national role supporting the development of services for people with dementia.

The Role:
Take a lead role in developing services to support people with dementia within Assisted Living,
putting together a standard service response that can be tailored to individual needs
Provide advice to the operational management team on dementia related issues
Work with our trainers to provide training for managers and teams on Assisted Living
developments across the country
– Put together information packs to assist Assisted Living managers and managers working within
MSMS managed Retirement Living developments to support people with dementia
– Put together an information pack for families of people with dementia, and potentially organise
information sessions
– Provide training for groups of managers within MSMS managed Retirement Living developments in
suitable locations across the country
– Provide support for RL managers to deal with any individual people with dementia on their
developments across the country
– Undertake any other duties that support people with dementia and the development of dementia

The role will involve travelling to different developments to deliver training, provide support to managers
and meet with individuals and families as appropriate.

The Person:
You will be experienced working with older people and have the following skills / attributes:
– an NVQ Level 4/5 RMA or equivalent in Health and Social Care
– a passion for wanting to continually improve the level of service and maintain this.
– Dedicated to the care of the elderly
– Full Clean UK Driving Licence and own transport is essential.
– Must be extremely flexible with availability to work weekends
– Must be available to travel to other developments,sometimes at short notice
