We are currently helping one of the UK’s largest and busiest airports recruit for an experienced Manager for their Security & Passenger Services Team. You would be part of a team responsible for managing and monitoring all aspects of service within the Terminal and Landside areas, acting as an ambassador for the Airport’s Brand Values and ensuring that your team consistently demonstrates behaviours that support the Brand Values

This is a key role within the Airport. You would lead a large team of Security Officers and Customer Service Assistants, ensuring that all customers receive excellent service, whilst still maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be expected to build relationships at all levels, both within the Airport Company and also across on-site business partners, such as handling agents, airlines, West Midlands Police and the Border Agency.

You will also be expected to proactively maximise the use of all equipment and facilities to ensure passenger flow is managed effectively, especially within the Central Search Area and Transfer & Transit facilities. You will also ensure that the public areas of the Terminal and associated landside areas operate safely.

The ideal candidate for the role will be an experienced Manager/Supervisor with a proven track record of successfully managing a staff group in a regulated environment. Experience dealing with large numbers of people in a service-related environment will be required and you will relish the opportunity of taking responsibility for a busy operation where situations and priorities can change at a moment’s notice

You will have outstanding team leadership skills and will be able to demonstrate how you have motivated teams to deliver outstanding customer service. Your communication skills will be second-to-none and you will be able to demonstrate how you have built relationships with key stakeholders both within a business and externally. You will be able to make effective decisions, having an awareness of associated risks, whilst remaining calm in a pressurised environment.

You will also need to have a full 5-year checkable work history and be able to successfully obtain Counter terrorism Check clearance.
