Payroll Administrator

One of the UK’s leading independent professional services companies is currently recruiting for an intelligent and well organised Payroll Administrator in High Wycombe. You would play an important role as part of a recently acquired HR Consultancy business, supporting the delivery of a professional, reliable and commercial payroll service in line with client’s policies, procedures, and government legislation.

As a key member of a growing team your role would focus on payroll administration, ensuring that clients’ payroll and related remuneration and benefit packages are run properly, that the appropriate accounting and statutory records are maintained, plus maintaining staff data on the practice management system; updating sickness and holiday records, setting up new employees, etc. You will also be expected to answer customer queries on finance and payroll matters, including liaising with HMRC as required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join one of the UK’s leading firms. You must have significant payroll experience, ideally within a large corporate environment, possibly a large professional services / accountancy firm or payroll bureau. You will be well versed in processing manual calculations while familiarity with SSP, SMP, P45s, starters and leavers and P60s will also be required.

You will be well organised, able to prioritise a varied workload and used to working to deadlines. You must be computer literate, with good knowledge of MS Office products (Excel and Word). You will be an enthusiastic and well organised individual with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

With almost 3500 partners and staff across 34 offices generating a fee income of over £300 million, and having recently undergone an exciting rebrand, you would be joining one of the 3 principal mid-market accountancy firms at a particularly interesting time.
