A Midlands-based integrated services group is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant at their Walsall Head Office. You would play a key role as part of group’s Payroll team, tasked with processing weekly and monthly payrolls for 350 employees in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, pension regulations, plus company policy. You would be expected to pay attention to additional pay considerations including overtime, commission, mileage, expenses etc, resolve all employee queries , and run and generate reports as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as part of a high volume and fast paced accounts team, with a sound understanding of payroll plus demonstrable basic knowledge of statutory legislation and pension regulation. You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask, work to deadlines, and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels will be required, as will good IT skills.
