Salary: £21,000 – £29,000 + Excellent Benefits
One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of polyethylene pipeline technology are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Technicians for their rapidly expanding site installation division. The company are seeking individuals with skills aligned with connection, flowstopping and rehabilitation works in the gas and water industries.
As the senior half of a 2 man team you would be tasked with leading on-site projects on behalf of clients across the South West and the Midlands. You would co-ordinate the installation and ongoing maintenance of polyethylene and metallic pipeline systems using a variety of techniques including subline and spray lining. You would be expected to organise a workload effectively making best use of resources, keep key contacts regularly informed of progress, as well as take responsibility for on-site safety, performing risk assessments.
Essential industry qualifications include GN02 (or equivalent), NRSWA cardholder, SHEA gas passport, and SCO 1, 2, 4 & 5. You must be able to demonstrate strong working knowledge of polyethylene and metallic gas systems with working pressures up to and including 7 bar, plus close-fit pipe lining technology, subline and rolldown. A thorough knowledge of HSE legislation and requirements will also be required.
You will be a flexible and proactive individual, able to demonstrate effective leadership, organisational skills, problem solving ability, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a good team player, co-operative, enthusiastic and willing to share knowledge. The role will be field-based, covering clients across the South West, Wales, and the Midlands, therefore a full UK driving licence will be required.
