Planner (Concrete Repairs)
C.£35,000-£50,000 + Car allowance + healthcare
As a result of recent expansion, an civil engineering concrete repairs contractor seeks to recruit a Planner to work on a series of long term projects carring out Concrete Repair and Cathodic Protection to a motorway network
Your role as a Planner will see you assist the Project Manager and client’s team in determining the detailed planning required to most economically carry out these schemes.
Day to day duties to include:
Reporting to the Project Manager
Attend and contribute at project team meetings
Assist the PM in the management of projects to achieve financial and quality targets
Assessment of priorities and balancing of resources
Safety controls and inspections
Communicating confidently and effectively at all levels
Setting and reviewing objectives, targets and performance
Committed to the growth and success of the business
The ideal person will be a Planner with experience of dealing civil or highway type projects
Fully conversant with planning software, particularly Microsoft Project
A full operational understanding of the NEC form of contract
Applies clear and transparent business rationale to all decisions
Ability to identify & manage changes required to meet scheme goals
Holds appropriate qualification and degree / HNC / HND
Highway sector and Traffic Management experience
Concrete Repairs Experience
Cathodic Protection Experience with ICORR Level 1
Conversant with Power Projects and Primavera
Financial and Quantity Surveying experience.
You must have experience working as a Planner or similar role.
