A specialised consultancy business currently has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced senior consultant to work with a range of blue-chip clients across the UK, particularly in the M4 corridor.
You would play a key role as part of a business that provides a full spectrum of consulting, assurance and optimisation services, delivering improved value to clients from planned investments in new and existing physical assets.
The company are seeking a Principal Asset Management Consultant to lead the Asset Management services business. This will include all aspects of leadership including leading projects, staff and client development, delivering profitable growth and working with the directors to pursue identified opportunities and develop the wider company.
You will join a team of talented and experienced Consultants and Engineers and play an integral part of the senior team and ongoing development of the business. Projects vary in nature, scope and objectives but the central task is delivering advice to clients in order for them to extract maximum value from proposed capital equipment spend and existing assets. This might be advice in product specification/placement/configuration, a wider review of options/alternatives or in supporting the organizational change required to deliver anticipated benefits.
o Qualified to degree or postgraduate level in a relevant area. This could be Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace or similar), Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
o Member of Institute of Asset Management, Institute of Mechanical Engineers, or similar organisation
o Experience leading the implementation of Asset Management improvement programmes for large clients, typically multi-site across multiple geographies
o Familiar with PAS55/ISO 55000 and have experience leading projects to optimise maintenance and performance using RCM, RCA, FMEA etc
o You will also have the personal qualities for clients to be comfortable with you as their principal point of contact and the ability to develop strong relationships and business with both existing and new clients
The role will suit an individual that can actively contribute to the ongoing growth of the Asset Management business. In addition to having the technical knowledge, experience, people and team skills that such a role would require, we are looking for someone with a strong business development track record and, ideally, with a client following.
You will need the right to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving license, be prepared to undergo Security Clearance and be happy with travel/regular overnight stays – much of the consulting is done on client sites.
