We’re looking for a talented Process Control Engineer to work for our client, based in the Northeast.
They want to recruit someone electrically qualified to HND/HNC level with an in-depth understanding of Siemens PLCs and practical applications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Please note: This is a full-time role based at the company’s Baliol production facility. You will be contracted to work 40 hours over 5 out of 7 days, dayshift Monday to Friday, however there will be some requirement to cover weekends and back/night shift on occasion.
The Baliol food manufacturing site uses automated and semi-automated lines to produce great products as efficiently as possible. As Process Control Engineer you would work as part of the engineering maintenance team, reporting directly to the Site Engineering Manager.
You would act as the site’s technical expert on all matters relating to equipment control systems and electrical standards, providing advice and guidance as well as hands on technical assistance as required. You will have specific responsibilities for the design, specification and purchasing of electrical equipment ensuring site technology remains up to date and meets current standards. You would be the site champion for energy efficiency developing a strategy to enable the site to meet its CO2 reduction targets.
The ideal candidate for this Process Control Engineer role will be electrically qualified to HND/HNC level with an in-depth understanding of Siemens PLCs and practical applications in a manufacturing environment. Detailed knowledge of general electrical legislation, Regulations, Statutory procedures and practical applications will be required.
In addition, it’s essential that you possess good organisational skills along with the ability to communicate at all levels plus excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and carry out a varied workload in all trades on both equipment and property.
Basic salary: Up to £47,000 per annum for the ideal candidate
