Product Support Scientist

A high-growth and forward thinking company are currently offering a PHD or MSc educated Scientist an exciting chance to develop their career at their Shanghai office. The role represents a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and responsible individual with a degree in infectious diseases or life sciences or experience in laboratory diagnostics support, and will suit UK based scientists or graduates looking to work in China.
Based out of Shanghai after initial training at the company’s UK Head Office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, you would work with local distributors to train customers on effective use diagnostic assays. You will be expected to offer results interpretation, troubleshooting advice and technical enquires of customers, attend conferences to support promotion and clinician engagement, establish and maintain customer records and contacts, and train laboratory personnel to efficiently use company products.
The role represents a great opportunity for a new graduate or more experienced scientist to develop their understanding of the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries. You will be MSc educated, preferably in an immunology and cellular based discipline, with sound problem solving & analytical skills. Working experience of cell culture and cellular biology techniques will be required while knowledge of T Cell immunology, infectious diseases and transplant medicine, including diagnostic and therapeutic trends and competitive clinical landscape is highly desirable.
You must be fluent in both Mandarin and English, preferably gained through either educational or professional time spent in an English speaking country. This is essential.
