This is a new opportunity for an experienced Production and Supply Chain Planner or scheduler to join a highly innovative company operating within the digitisation of health and safety and worker protection.

They are owned by a Canadian Group that are investing heavily in their next stage of growth.

The role is to own and manage the purchasing and assembly processes of their platform components within an outsourced manufacturing environment. These components include smart garments, hardware – components, sub-assemblies and completed goods, and third-party sensor devices.

Responsibilities and Capabilities:

You will…

  • Be responsible for working with the sales function to understand sales forecasts and customer deliverables and translate that into a detailed production plan for which you will then be responsible for delivering.
  • Manage suppliers of the solution components, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Manage the purchase of hardware components based on effective forecasting and planning.
  • Manage the outsourced assembly suppliers of the hardware element of the solution, initially in the UK but considering offshoring in time as volumes increase.
  • Work with our third-party sensor partners to manage potential demand and the purchasing of third-party devices to include in the delivery package.
  • Oversee the inbound logistics processes associated with the purchase of components and hardware solution elements.
  • Maximise group synergies across sourcing, production and manufacturing with colleagues at our parent company in Canada.


You will have/be:

  • Experience in purchasing, production planning and supply chain inbound logistics.
  • Experience in the oversight of assembly and test (QA).
  • Experience in an outsourced manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Experience of working with international suppliers.
  • A great planner/project manager, who is able to organise colleagues around you to assist you in pulling everything together.
