A Project Manager for the Change team is required for my industry leading client based in Bolton The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the planning monitoring and control of a number of projects to work closely with the Programme Manager in ensuring that company specific goals and priorities are met Projects typically have an expected duration of a few weeks to several months and can range from incremental software development to supplier tender and business change programmes.

The Role.
An experienced Project Manager to form part of a central change team. Delivery of a range of business change and software delivery projects, co-ordinating pooled resource from IT, Development, BA’s and testers. Ideally with a background with-in Insurance, Legal or BPO

Experience required.
People Skills

Ability to direct the collective effort, skills, and collaboration of the team and of end users to deliver successful projects

A natural at communicating, influencing and proactively collaborating with people from across the wider business area.

Comfortable with managing stakeholders’ expectations in a persuasive yet objective manner

Skilled at conflict resolution to deliver a win-win result

Ideally, a back ground in change management

Planning and Delivery

Experiencing in refining business requirements and outline objectives into concrete plans and actions

Experience of delivery of the end to end projects; from Project Initiation to Warranty period in in-house or outsourced software development environments

Experience of resource planning and scheduling at a tactical and operational level to meet future project requirements.

A detailed and structured planner with the ability to identifying potential constraints, impacts and risks of proposed projects

Able to work in both traditional, waterfall planned projects and Agile environments

Experienced user of MS Project


A good understanding of Business Process Improvement and Reengineering principles

A working knowledge of Systems Development Methodologies. Must be impartial and flexible between common techniques. Experience of both waterfall and working as a Scrum Master would be ideal

Experience in applying varying yet appropriate levels of PRINCE2 to project delivery

A track record in identifying commercial opportunities that can be exploited through the application of technology.

Able to articulate and address project risks and issues with a commercial mind; oftern being the bridge between technical and non-technical representatives

Able to write commercial business cases and project update reports to board level.


Working knowledge or experience of how Information Governance, Information Security, Data Protection and Information Commissioner guidance and principles are impacted by current and proposed projects.

Used to working in a formal project structure and reporting environment.
