Title: Project Manager
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + Benefits (inc Bonus & Pension)
My client is an established and niche retailer with several stores around the UK as well as a large online presence. For more than thirty years they have been a leading light in their sector. There is now an opportunity for a successful Project Manager to join the business permanently and analyse the technology used, including its existing E-commerce solutions, maximising on existing systems as well as introducing new ones, enabling a return on investment.
This is a diverse PM role with two main focuses, ‘expansion and growth of the E-commerce systems’ and ‘delivery of technology solutions’. With the E-commerce systems you will be managing projects focussed on improving the company’s various websites as well as improving ROI. You will assume responsibility for operational and technical functionality of platforms, liaising and managing with development teams (in-house and outsourced), testers and configuration specialists. You will be responsible for the delivery of an integrated SEO strategy as well as an E-commerce road map. You will also ensure that regulatory requirements are met. As well as E-commerce you will be responsible for the delivery of ‘technology change’ within the business, ensuring clear business cases are in place and all projects are measured and delivered. Where appropriate you will take part in the budgets, advising on staffing, travel and subsistence and monitor against the P&L. You will work closely with the IT Service desk and improve IT Service Levels. You will focus on the company’s systems to deliver confidence in the systems used and devise SLA’s for IT suppliers, ensuring they continue to deliver their services to the agreed SLA’s.
You will be a Project Manager experienced in the delivery of IT, E-commerce and SEO projects. You will have demonstrable stakeholder management skills and ideally experience of the travel industry, providing business analysis expertise in this area. You will have prior experience in the management of transactional websites and managing a range of technical teams in various operational and functional areas of the business. You will have good written skills, able to write business processes, supporting business documentation, business cases as well as preparation and delivery of presentations where necessary. Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business. You will have strong business acumen along with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
The role is based at the company’s Head Office and is easily commutable from Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington, Wrexham, Northwich and Chester.
You will already be working as a Project Manager, Programme Manager or Project Lead.
