One of the UK’s largest and foremost law firms is currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This is a full-time role on a 6 month fixed term contract. The company have introduced a ‘Flexible by Choice’ policy, giving you the opportunity to work from home, in the Sheffield office, or a combination of the both.

The Role
As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be responsible for processing invoices onto both clients’ and nominal accounts, maintaining supplier accounts and completing payment runs in line with rules and regulations. Other responsibilities will include dealing with supplier queries and account reconciliations.

Work will include…
– Processing invoices, ensuring prompt and accurate payment
– Carrying out supplier reconciliations and ensure any disputes are resolved satisfactorily
– Dealing with telephone and email enquiries to resolution or escalation
– Producing reports from supplier data for use by management

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this Purchase Ledger Assistant role will have experience working as part of a high volume and fast paced accounts team. You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels will be required, as will good IT skills, particularly Excel.

The job will be suitable for individuals who have experience as the following: Accounts Payable Clerk, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Billings Administrator, Bank Reconciliations Clerk.
