As one of the UK’s leading independent professional services companies we are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager on a maternity cover contract, tasked with managing the delivery of an efficient HR service across the Yorkshire and North East offices. This is a fantastic opportunity for an influential HR practitioner to put their skills and expertise to use within one of the UK’s leading firms.

This is a highly visible role within our business, supporting the Regional Managing Partner as part of the operational team, managing a team of skilled HR professionals and ensuring HR services are delivered to a high standard across the Leeds, Hull and Newcastle offices. You would play a lead role in ensuring an integrated HR strategy is implemented across the region, as well as contributing to regular national HR meetings and communicating strategy to key stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity for an accomplished HR generalist with supervisory experience and sound commercial acumen, who is able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the importance of effective communication and relationship building across the business. Full CIPD qualification is necessary, as is experience of managing disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies and consultations at a complex level, in multi-site environments. Experience of training and coaching line managers along with a strong knowledge of current employment legislation and case law is also required. Travel between the Leeds, Hull and Newcastle offices will be a regular feature of this role.

You will be an intelligent individual, well organised and hard-working, with a flexible and proactive approach along with excellent problem solving skills. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to build relationships at all levels within the business.

With almost 3500 partners and staff across 35 offices generating a fee income of over £300 million, and having recently undergone an exciting rebrand, you would be joining one of the 3 principal mid-market accountancy firms at a particularly interesting time.
