Residential Emergency Service
Salary £28,000 – £35,000 negotiable
We are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead and manage an Emergency Care Team and oversee the care of Young People placed at an Emergency Service Home in Essex. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a fast-paced environment and have an enthusiastic and resilient disposition to work well within a changing environment where Young People are placed for up to 10 days.
You will have experience of challenging behaviours and previously lead teams in mental health, homelessness, addictions or specialist residential childcare settings to deliver excellent outcomes for children and young people in crisis.
You must be able to evidence the ability to provide leadership, guidance and management of the team and you must be able to make critical risk assessments to ensure positive outcomes are reached for the children and young people in the Emergency Care Team.
A good working knowledge of Children’s Homes Quality Assurance Systems is essential to the success of this role. You will also need to hold NVQ Level 4 Management, NVQ 4 Care or QCF Level 5 as well as a proven track record of successfully running a Residential Home as a Registered Manager. You will need to have the ability to mentor and train staff to develop both key learning but also core skills relating to reflective thinking, de-escalation, inter-personal skills.
