An experienced Children’s Home Manager needed for a Children’s home in Taunton that specialises in CSE. Salary dependent on experience and qualifications, up to £40K.

I am currently working on the behalf of a well-established and growing organisation that is looking to recruit a Manager for one of their homes based in Taunton. The person centred home accommodates for young girls aged between 8 and 18 years of age, with social, emotional and mental health needs, and/or suffering from the long term emotional and physical effects of CSE.

As the Registered Manager, you will lead and manage the team and oversee the 24 hour care. You will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the home following the companies’ policies and procedures, Ofsted requirements and the local authority’s expectations.

To qualify for the role you will need:

  • NVQ Level 4 Management, NVQ 4 Care or QCF Level 5
  • 5 years’ experience if working with children in a residential setting
  • 2 years managerial experience within a children’s residential service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A ‘can do’ attitude with motivation to achieve excellence
