Research & Development (R&D) Assistant – Adhesives
I am looking to recruit an experienced R&D person for a well-established, dynamic and rapidly growing adhesives manufacturer.
Their success relies on having market leading product portfolio and this is where you come in. You will ultimately assume responsibility for the product development function.
Reporting to the General Manager you will also oversee the relationship with 3rd party manufacturers (Toll Manufacturers) ensuring relationships are developed, maintained and profitability maximised.
You will also take responsibility for the testing function for existing and potential customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an R&D / formulating function ideally from the adhesives industry. At the very least you must have some knowledge of chemical raw material technologies such as acrylics, VAE’s and other polymer technologies.
You will be qualified at least to HND level and preference will be given if that is in polymer science but chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science will be considered too.
You will also need to have the drive and determination needed to succeed and the commercial drive to make the R&D function a success.
If you meet these criteria and are looking for a new challenge I would encourage you to apply.
In 20 years they have established themselves as a major player in the adhesives sector. They have done this by blending state-of-the-art adhesive technologies with time-proven business values such as honesty, integrity and a service-driven attitude to our customers’ needs.
They genuinely care about their people and this would be a chance to join a successful business where you can still make a difference and drive your career forward.
This role may be suitable for you if you have a background in any of the following: Chemist, Development Chemist, Technical Manager, Adhesive Chemist, Formulation Chemist, Formulation Development Chemist or Chemical Engineer.
This job could be suitable for commuters from: Stockport, Cheadle, Manchester, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Hyde, Altrincham, Sheffield or Warrington
