Residential Home Manager
Elderly Care Home
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 plus bonus of up to £7,000
I am recruiting for an experienced Residential Care Manager for a new role in Birmingham. The position offers an attractive salary plus achievable bonus and a fantastic career development opportunity with a dynamic and expanding organisation.
The role is based in a medium sized care home for older adults with dementia care needs. The home currently has a good CQC rating and an excellent reputation for providing a quality care service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with a supportive senior management team
There are many duties involved in the role of Home Manager including:
- All areas of home management
- Auditing, care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, staff supervision and guidance
- Staff Training
- Occupancy levels
- Medication management
- Ensuring high quality care is being provided
The successful candidate will understand the importance of establishing a highly visible presence in the local community and will build good relationships with local healthcare professionals. You must have an excellent understanding of the new CQC standards and have the skills to ensure that these are met and maintained within the home.
As the Registered Manager you will be pivotal to the well-being and advancement of the home and the team and so you must have strong leadership and communication skills.
The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar setting, with specific understanding of care for older people and those with dementia and you must hold NVQ Level 5 Health and Social Care and ideally Registered Managers Award
