Job Title: Sales Director
Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 + (negotiable OTE) + Car + Pension + Healthcare
My client is a market leading manufacturing business supplying DIY multiples and builders merchants in the DIY sector. Recognised in the industry for service and quality at cost effective prices, they have cornered the market with the majority of major retailers in this sector. An exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales to join the business and focus on continued growth. The Role
Despite being the market leader, the focus of this role will be to ensure continued sales growth as well as managing the sales team and in particular, the area sales managers. You will take full responsibility for all UK sales (circa £30 million). You will inherit a team that has enjoyed year on year sales growth since 2003. You will also share joint responsibility for a sister company (circa £3.25 million). Growing sales in both businesses, you will identify new areas of opportunity.
The Person
You will already working as a senior sales manager or director and have experience of developing sales teams (external and internal), making sure they continue to service both existing customer base as well prospecting for new business. You will develop sales with all major multiples and buying groups, ensuring continued growth as well as managing the control of rebates, present and future. You will also help strategise retention and growth of SME’s and independent accounts. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement effective marketing and promotions, enhancing sales. Finally, you will monitor competitor activity and the market place and determine any future changes in the market.
Highly accessible and easily commutable from areas including, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Halifax.
It is likely that you will already be working as a: Sales Director, Director of Sales, Sales Manager or Area Sales Manager.
