Job Title: Security Vulnerability Analyst
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, international company as a Security Vulnerability Analyst, where you will be executing security testing on a group level, as well as communicating with stakeholders and international teams across multiple continents. Initially you will be in their office in central Birmingham, getting to know your peers and eventually transferring to a flexible hybrid model with preparation to be in the office when needed, roughly once a week.

The company is heavily supportive of developing your personal skillset and experience through high standard of mentorships and support frameworks, with a focus on increasing your skillset exposure to penetration testing, for example.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking key IT security services periodically, using assessment to identify security fractures and alleviating their impact through vulnerability scans, attack surface mapping, etc. Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders is a fundamental aspect of your duties, providing input to policies and procedures, alongside responding to alerts reported and supporting investigations activities. Ensuring all security procedures are interacted with in alignment with appropriate policies, governance, alongside the upholding of official documentation to record and reflect on implemented changes.

Experience

We are looking for a Security Vulnerability Analyst with 2+ years’ experience in vulnerability analysis, supported with a certification in IT Security (E.g., CompTIA Security+) and an understanding of vulnerability and penetration management. Examples of IT security knowledge and experience of a great Vulnerability Analyst, include but is not limited to:

• Vulnerability Management
• OWASP web application security risks
• KPIs
• Linux and Bash
• Scripting languages
• NMAP or similar scanning tools
• Commercial Vulnerability scanners
