Civil Engineer- Consultancy in construction

£45,000-£50,000 per annum
This established Construction Consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to work from their Oxfordshire base.
As a Civil Engineer you will undertake the design of roads, drainage, retaining walls, and earthworks, and prepare flood risk assessment and the design of sustainable drainage solutions.
You will produce pre-planning reports including foul drainage & utility assessments and phase-one Geo-Environmental Appraisals.
You will take a global view of infrastructure issues for new development and will advise clients accordingly. You will prepare and outline detailed designs of road and drainage infrastructure, junction alterations and new services.
You will also liaise with clients, project teams and local authorities.
You will need to have a degree in Civil Engineering and minimum of two years post-qualification experience in Civil Engineering design.
You will need to have experience in the use of industry-standard design software packages such as Micro Drainage and have experience in the use of AutoCAD for drafting design solutions.
You will have experience in dealing with clients and other members of the professional team and have experience in dealing with adoption agreements for roads and drainage.
You will need to be able to speak clearly, confidently, professionally and convincingly at meetings and on the telephone.
You will also need to be able to write clear and concise E-mails, reports and have good commercial awareness and be able to work well with others as part of a team.

They offer advice from initial feasibility and planning, through detailed design to construction and post-project support.
The role may be suitable if you have a background as an experienced Civil Engineer, Charted Civil Engineer and Principal Civil Engineer.
It is likely candidates will be commutable to Didcot, Oxford, Swindon, Aylesbury, and Maidenhead.
