Senior Graphic Designer
Based in Ipswich
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 + benefits

A successful and rapidly expanding licensed gift manufacturer in Ipswich is currently looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of a Senior Graphic Designer. The role represents a great opportunity for a talented and highly creative design professional to join a forward-thinking business and work on some of the world’s best-known licensed brands.

The Role
The company source the very best imagery from around the world and transform it onto greeting cards, art prints, giftware and stationery, before managing the brands’ online webshops. Current licenses include Peppa Pig, Mr Men, The Gruffalo and Doctor Who, some of the most exciting and contemporary brands on the marketplace.

As the Senior Graphic Designer your responsibilities would include…
o Understanding project requirements and concepts
o Using various techniques to create initial design of varying levels and complexities
o Production of final design solutions (product presentations and print-ready artwork)
o Collaborating with team members to launch projects, pitch creative ideas

You will be required to manage your own time, respond positively to creative direction, take on board constructive criticism and respond to briefs innovatively, clearly and concisely explaining and evaluating your creative approach.

The Candidate
o BSc/BA in Design, significant post-graduate design experience underpinned by strong commercial acumen
o Extensive portfolio comprising live briefs and self-initiated work
o Experience with design software, Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
o Familiarity with design techniques, conceptualisation, print production etc
o Understanding of visual elements (product layout, typography, premium gifts and souvenir lines)
o Able to work under pressure to challenging deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
o Team player, enjoys the creative process and working collaboratively
