Senior Male Residential Support Worker

I am recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker for a children’s service based in Birmingham. The role is based in a small residential home for children with varying needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and behaviours that challenge. Your role will be varied and will include to be responsible to the registered manager, for the day-to-day duties within the home and the care and support of the residents, implement and follow the home’s operational policies and the care practice standards and to ensure that care is within a warm and supportive atmosphere. You will implement individual care plans so as to ensure the welfare of each child.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a NVQ level 3 and have 2 years of experience working with children in a residential setting. You must be able to act as a senior team member in the absence of management and deal with any issues that may arise. Ideally you will have experience and knowledge of children with EBD. You must be able to engage with young people and help to make a positive difference to their lives. You must be a car driver and have excellent communication skills.
