Senior Quantity Surveyor (Drywall, Cladding, Joinery)
Construction Building Systems –Interiors
Rotherham, South Yorkshire
C.£48k basic + company car + bonus 15%
Due to expansion a leading interiors contractor are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor following an expansion plan to be based in Rotherham with some travel to London.
The position will be a supporting role to the commercial team and will involve giving contracts advice and general support to the team.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Overall commercial responsibility for your projects with travel to sites when required.
Agreeing contract terms and conditions
Checking contracts and contract risk analysis.
Overall responsibility of numerous contracts.
Cash flow forecasting.
Be conversant with all forms of building contracts
This is the ideal role for an experienced quantity surveyor preferably from within the Interiors subcontract sector, or the drywall, cladding and joinery industry (but not essential).
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you must have strong communication skills and strong contractual awareness. You will also have previous experience in a management role.
Practical knowledge of drywall, cladding and joinery would be an advantage.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Qs or similar Quantity Surveying background within a subcontract interiors industry or relevant main contractor.
Formed in 1992, this well established company already has a full order book of projects for the next few years. They are part of a larger group and focus on varied bespoke and bulk drywall, cladding and joinery projects. They work within the commercial and residential market, including hotels, retail and residential developments.
