I am recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join a supported living team based in Bristol. The service provides care and support to vulnerable adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. This role offers an excellent range of benefits and ongoing training and support.
You will report to the Registered Manger and be involved in providing day to day support to service users and encouraging independent living. The main duties of the role are:
- Assisting with personal hygiene
- Assisting with showering/bathing
- Preparing meals
- Any other support required
- Reablement/ Rehabilitation
- Social Inclusion
- Carrying out observations and supervisions
- Supporting the manager with quality checks
- Helping to organise activities and encouraging participation
To be considered for this role, you must hold a NVQ level 3 and have at least 1 year’s experience working within the care sector. You must be able to act as a senior team member in the absence of management and deal with any issues that may arise. You must be able to engage with the service users and help to make a positive difference to their lives. You must have your own transport and be willing to work a range of shift patterns.
