I am pleased to be recruiting a Service Desk Analyst role for my client, a progressive and growing technology company within a very niche sector. Working for the Service Desk team, you will be responsible for responding to IT problems relating to hardware and applications and will also have exposure to a part virtualised server estate.

The Role:

Based in their central London offices (close to Oxford circus train station), you will be working as part of a team that supports the company’s IT network which includes, three hundred terminals and six hundred IT users, spread across three sites as well as two hundred and fifty servers running on a VMware virtualised platform. You will work to defined SLA’s and operational targets, progressing calls by priority. You will liaise with 3rd party vendors where necessary, ensuring minimal service disruption. Working in a Microsoft environment (Exchange 2010 and Windows Server 2012 ‘migration’), you will provide solutions or answers to problems in a clear manner pitched at the user’s technical level.

The Person:

You will already be working in an IT support role, preferably within a Support Desk environment. You will have a positive attitude when assisting IT users within the business, putting the user first whilst still prioritising workloads and tasks. You will be joining a busy team so you will have a good work ethic however, the team is very sociable and it is hoped that you will be able to have a laugh and integrate within the team. You will have good experience of Microsoft Exchange Servers, Microsoft Windows Server and it will be considered advantageous if you have experience of virtualisation and particularly VMware.


Located in the centre of London, the offices are close to Oxford Circus and Marleybone.

You will already be working as an Service Desk Analyst, IT Support or 2nd Line IT Support Technician.
