Shift Leader – Child Services
£16,000 – £18,000
Additional £2000 per annum for Sleep-Ins
A new opportunity has become available for a Shift Leader/Team Leader to join a small residential children’s service in Kent. You will join a team who are committed to enhancing the lives and wellbeing of children within their care. If this sounds of interest, apply on line today!
The position of Shift Leader will be working for a well-established organisation who have an excellent reputation within the child care industry. You will play a fundamental part in ensuring gthe shifts run smoothly and any absences due to sickness or holidays are covered accordingly. The role is on a 5 out of 7 day basis so some weekend work will be required, as will night shifts. Additional pay is paid for sleep-ins. Other duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Ensure delivery of the highest standards of care and support by both yourself and your team
- Working closely with children with challenging behaviours and encouraging them to take part in various activities
- Supporting children’s learning and development
- Ensuring shifts run smoothly and working closely with other shift leaders and team leaders
- Collate reports when required
Previous experience of working with children in a similar environment is essential. You will ideally have experience of working with children who have experienced emotional trauma, abuse and/or have challenging behaviour. Ideally, you will hold a minimum QCF Level 3 qualification and have a thorough understanding of child development.
In return, the company offer a stable working environment, a competitive salary including an additional £2,000 per annum for sleep-ins and full training. Due to the nature of this role, a DBS will be required.
