Job Title: Software Product Manager – Qualified Accountant Background
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £65,000 to £70,000
Benefits: Bonus 15%, Pension, Healthcare
This an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with a passion for Financial ERP software to join a major Blue Chip Software/ERP company in a pivotal role guiding the development, positioning and sales support of the Financial side of their ERP suite.
The role extends from increasing the profitability/sales of existing products to developing new finance software products for the company.
You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with product owners in the Research and Development teams to define product release requirements.
You will work with Marketing and your peer product managers to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers.
You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.
Key experience required:
You will have come from a professional accounting background and will be either ACCA or CIMA qualified.
You will have spent a number of years in financial roles with international companies which will have included the implementation of new financial software systems.
You could currently be working in an accounting, consultant or product management role however you will need to have some experience of the software development lifecycle coupled with the knowledge of development tools, technologies and the development of requirements.
You will have string knowledge of the enterprise financial modules of large scale ERP systems.
