Job Title: Software/Systems Support Analyst
Location: Walsall
Salary: £21,000 – £25,000 per annum + benefits
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Software/Systems Support Analyst to join a well-known, highly recognised and established organisation. You will join an existing team of Support analysts (headed up by a Service Desk Manager) who are responsible for delivering system support and system administration duties for hosted clients.
This role is very much about the systems side of things and is not a typical IT support role. You will have system support experience ideally from within a data & system critical organisation. You will also be responsible for the research/ fault finding, monitoring, logging and reporting of tasks, taking action on known or basic to complex problems.
Your key responsibilities will include; Managing client support calls (logging, raising, escalating calls) through to resolution; Providing accurate recording and reporting of support calls; Carry out analysis and then recreate an issue in a relevant test environment; Provide all possible information to developers to understand the issue from both a functional and business point of view; Manage software releases to clients; System configuration, security and integrity.

Requirements
As an experienced Service Desk Support Analyst, you will have strong, demonstrable experience of;
- Experience of working in a similar systems software/ application support role
- An expert understanding of software and application support
- Experience of working in a demanding & process driven environment
This role demands somebody who is keen to work in a busy, thriving and challenging environment. For this role it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and a confident and enthusiastic nature. Ideally, you will have a full UK Driving Licence as there may be some travel to different sites.
