Job Title: SQL Support Analyst/Developer
Salary: £27,000 – £32,000
We are recruiting for an established international software house that provides business software solutions to SME’s through to enterprise sized businesses around the world. The company operates in various countries including the UK, France, Spain, Dubai, China, South Africa and USA. As a result of continued success, the client is looking to grow its support team and is looking to recruit three additional SQL Support Analysts/Developers. Based from the company’s UK head office in the West Midlands, you will be supporting the current and next generation of software releases. The role will involve building, data-modelling and testing databases for resilience. You will write queries and scripts using SQL to validate data, ideally you will fluent in T-SQL (Transact SQL). You will be responsible for the successful roll out of new software and also offer post-implementation support where needed. You will be supporting customers not only in the UK but also in countries including France, Dubai, Spain and Germany.
You will ideally be degree educated, however, the organisation will consider a candidate with demonstrable and relevant work background in a similar role. It is essential that you have proven database experience in (SQL Server) as well as being experienced in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), you will also need to have good skills in T-SQL. Additionally you will have good PC knowledge and good attention to detail. You will possess excellent analytical skills with proven experience in solving complex business problems. You will be an effective communicator with both good spoken and written communication skills. A second spoken language would be advantageous but not essential. As the company provides 7 day support, there will be a need to work occasional weekends on a shift basis. Days off in the week will be given in lieu.
Located in the West Midlands, it is an easy commutable distance from Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Henley-in-Arden and Sutton Coldfield.
It is likely that you will already be working as a: SQL Developer, SQL Support Analyst, Application Support Analyst, SQL Data Analyst/Developer or T-SQL Developer.
