Staff Nurse – Chidren
Complex Needs – 24 hour care
Salary: up to £47,320 per annum (equates to £26ph on a 35 hour contract)
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Band 5 or 6 Nurse to lead a team of Health Care Workers supporting a young boy with complex needs who lives at home with his family in the Harrogate area.
As Nurse Lead you will be required to administer and coordinate the care team with tasks including rota management; care planning, training, holiday activity planning and also ensuring that sickness and holidays are covered. The Nurse Lead will be required to ensure that the team of Complex HCAs are appropriately managed, directed and supervised to ensure the safe delivery of care. Additionally they would need to ensure that the HCAs follow care plans, protocols and risk assessments relating to the child’s needs. The Nurse Team Lead will be required to ensure that in the absence of the maternal/paternal instinctive knowledge, that a professional lead with nursing experience is available to ensure that the child’s needs are met.

Band 5 or 6 Qualification and experience
Relevant experience as a Paediatric Nurse
Experience of working with children with complex needs
Ability to provide client specific training
A full UK driving licence and own transport
The ability to lone work, as well as communicate effectively as part of a team
To be able to work calmly under pressure and be responsive to care needs
Good record keeping skills with the ability to keep robust care records
Good time keeping and punctuality with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable
Salary of £26 per hour with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
