This highly successful architectural consultancy based in Buckinghamshire are looking for a Chartered Structural Design Engineer due to expansion of their successful team.
Reporting to the Director and working in an existing design team of two, the workload for the Structural Design Engineer will be on a project by project basis.
Projects are mainly within the domestic and commercial residential sector with values ranging from £50,000 to £100,000 and tenders up to £1.5 million.
Day to day duties will include basic steel beam and post design including foundations, pad foundations and raft foundations. The role also involves timber design.
You will be office based with occasional client visits and will use design software on a daily basis and perform structural calculations.
Your work load will be up to 20 residential projects a month in the High Wycombe area of Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas.
The role would be ideal for an experienced Chartered Structural Design Engineer preferably from within the residential construction industry, however candidates from other construction backgrounds may be considered.
You may have relevant beam, steel post, foundation, pad foundation, raft foundation or timber design skills.
You must have good design and calculation abilities and knowledge of structural design with experience using a relevant design software.
You will be recently chartered or incorporated as a member of IStructE or ICE with at least 2 years relevant experience in this field.
Formed over 17 years ago, they are an established architectural consultancy based in Buckinghamshire. They work predominantly across Buckinghamshire and specialise in domestic projects. These range from full planning permission for a single storey extension through to complete new build properties.
