The Role
As an experienced Supplier Development Specialist you would oversee the effective onboarding of suppliers and products, along with managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and product reliability. Key responsibilities will include…
- Supporting supplier onboarding to assure the selection of suitable suppliers for the business
- Supplier audits, participating in information reviews that manage risks related to supplier onboarding
- Assessing and reporting the ongoing performance of suppliers, developing and improving supplier performance to assure a strong level of performance and compliance
- Analysing supplier related performance data to understand risks in the supply chain
- Coordinating improvement activities to reduce supply chain risks
- Supporting change control activities resulting from adjustments to design, manufacture, or materials
- Coordinating PPAP activities, organising evidence of compliance and organising product approvals resulting from engineering changes

The Candidate
- You will be able to demonstrate your experience working in supplier development and supplier auditing in a technical/engineering environment
- ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor is desirable
- Flexible with a full, clean and valid driving license to travel to supplier sites across the UK as and when required
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and with flexibility, self-motivation, and the capability to work on your own initiative
