We are seeking Support Workers to join my client who are a registered charity and support individuals UK wide, specifically people with learning disabilities.
This position will be based in Silsoe, Bedfordshire. This service is not accessible by public transport so please do not apply if you don’t hold a Full UK Driving License.
You will be working in a service that supports 7 people with learning disabilities some of which require additional support with moving and handling. Some people within the service also have dementia.

The Role: As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in enabling each individual to live as independently as possible, this will include providing a high level of support to enable people to live fulfilling lives in their community.
This will involve; supporting people with meal preparation, managing finances and personal care. You will also be required to support people live as actively as possible, this can be through a range of activities including; using public transport, attending music/dance groups, swimming, going to the pub or cafes and much more.
If you have worked within a similar capacity as a Support Worker then this would be a distinct advantage however experience isn’t essential as ongoing support and training will be provided.
It would be preferred if you already hold your QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or the willingness to work towards it.
