Support Worker – Full & Part Time
Learning Disabilities – Residential
Salary: £7.53 to £8.00
Shifts: Early, Lates & Sleep-in Nights
Location: Oxford, OX2
We are currently recruiting both full / part time support workers to work at a newly refurbished residential home specialising in care for vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities.
As a support worker you will work alongside an established support team who enable the 10 residents in the home to live independently. The residents have a range of disabilities / complex needs including Learning Disabilities, Challenging Behaviour and mental health issues.
Support workers promote a supportive and caring environment, as part of a team, providing practical assistance and emotional support enabling service users to achieve their desired level of self-sufficiency and integrate into the community.
The atmosphere within the home is described as being one big family where by both the support team and the residents enjoy working together.
We are preferably looking for candidates who have experience working with a similar client group and qualified to an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. However if you are a caring and empathetic person who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, then we would like to hear from you.
A lovely, recently refurbished old Georgian house with 10 beds set over three floors. There is a family environment with the facility where everyone gets on without any issues. The home belongs to an fantastic organisation who are totally committed to deliver outstanding care to it’s customers.
