Support Worker Grade 2
Working with People with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
Salary: £14,800.67 to £16,656.72 pro rata working 30 hours over 7 days.
We are looking for caring, innovative, flexible individuals with a good sense of humour and excellent communication skills to work within the community changing the lives of vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
As a support worker you will work alongside an established support team who work alongside clients in the community to ensure they can live as independently as possible. The residents have a range of disabilities / complex needs including Learning Disabilities, Challenging Behaviour and mental health issues.
Support workers promote a supportive and caring environment, as part of a team, providing practical assistance and emotional support enabling service users to achieve their desired level of self-sufficiency and integrate into the community.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will work alongside an ever changing customer group, helping, rehabilitating and developing every customer you come into contact with.
– The successful applicant must have at least considerable experience of providing care and will preferably have an NVQ level 2 in Care.
– Flexible to work on a rolling rota and within a team
– Excellent communication skills
– Driver preferable but not essential
