Supported Living Services for people with learning disabilities
Salary: £13,761 (FTE) rising to £14,317 after one year
Hours: Full Time, Part Time and Bank
Location: Cheadle, Stoke on Trent
We are seeking Support Workers to join my client who are a registered charity and support individuals UK wide, specifically people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
You will be working in a new service that has recently been developed due to recent expansion. The people that you support will primarily be older individuals who have severe learning disabilities.
There are various Full Time, Part Time and Bank contracts available. Salary is therefore dependant on the desired hours.

As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in enabling each individual to live as independently as possible. This will involve; supporting people with meal preparation, managing finances and personal care. You will also be required to help people live as actively as possible, this can be through a range of activities including; gardening, sports, art clubs, day trips and much more.
If you have worked within a similar capacity as a Support Worker or Care Assistant then this would be a distinct advantage however experience isn’t essential as ongoing support and training will be provided.
It would be preferred if you already hold your QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or the willingness to work towards it.
