Supported Living Services for people with learning disabilities
Salary: £7.77 per hour (£15,194 FTE)
Hours: Full Time, Part Time and Bank contracts available
Location: Staplehurst, Kent
We are seeking Support Workers to join my client who are a registered charity and support individuals UK wide, specifically people with learning disabilities.
This position will be based in Staplehurst, Kent. This service is not accessible by public transport so please do not apply if you don’t hold a Full UK Driving License.
You will be working across two services that support 7 people in total.
One service supports three people with learning disabilities whose behaviour may also challenge. The other service compromises of two flats within the same building supporting two people in each flat. All four people within these services have learning disabilities and varying support needs including moving and handling, health and support and challenging behaviour.

The Role: As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in enabling each individual to live as independently as possible, this will include providing a high level of support to enable people to live fulfilling lives in their community.
This will involve; supporting people with meal preparation, managing finances and personal care. You will also be required to support people live as actively as possible, this can be through a range of activities including; using public transport, attending music/dance groups, swimming, going to the pub or cafes and much more.
If you have worked within a similar capacity as a Support Worker then this would be a distinct advantage however experience isn’t essential as ongoing support and training will be provided.
It would be preferred if you already hold your QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or the willingness to work towards it.
