As a result of recent expansion of a London Office, an established Energy Assessment company seeks to recruit a Sustainability Consultant in London.
Your role as Sustainability Consultant will see you help architects, builders and construction companies create buildings that meet sustainability standards and building regulations.
Day to day duties to include:
-Undertake Energy and Sustainability assessments to the requirements of Part L and the London Plan, on both domestic/non-domestic development.
-Provide cost affective advice and guidance on compliance
-Prepare energy strategies to be submitted to Local Planning Authorities to demonstrate London Plan compliance.
-Attend Design Team Meetings to input on design criteria and ensure the sustainability elements of a project stay on track.
-Liaise with clients, project teams and architects
-Occasionally provide client training on sustainability and energy efficiency regulation.
The successful candidate will have experience in a Sustainability Consultant role or similar sustainability role from a consultancy.
You must have experience of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments
You will have previous experience of working alongside multidisciplinary teams
You will have competent leadership and analytical skills and a confident approach towards clients and colleagues.
You will have knowledge of and interest in local government and the planning process in the built environment
You will be a Qualified SAP and SBEM Assessor
Ideally candidates will have a BEng / BSc / MSc (or equivalent) in a sustainability / environmental / energy / building services related discipline and membership to a professional body such as the Energy Institute / IEMA / CIBSE.
They are an established Energy Assessment organisation who provide understandable and implementable solutions. They service construction companies`, architects and builders in regards to their building regulations requirements. These may include SBEMS, SAPs and BREEAMs.
