Based in Southampton
Salary up to £23,000 + Excellent Benefits

A Not for Profit Organisation providing workforce skills development services and enterprise and innovation support is currently recruiting for a Teaching & Learning Mentor in the Southampton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role as part of an organisation committed to making a positive impact on individuals’ lives as well as economic growth across the UK.

The Role
You would be responsible for delivering an integrated and varied programme of training, support and development to individuals undertaking an Apprenticeship Framework. As well as managing a caseload of approximately 40 learners at any one time, including regular visits and reviews, plus detailed completion of paperwork to comply with all SFA funding rules and OFSTED regulations, you would also engage with employers to ensure a quality service is delivered at all times. This will also involve regular review meetings.

The Candidate
The role will suit a reliable and conscientious learning and development professional with a relevant teaching qualification (minimum PTLLS), plus a proven track record in delivering innovative training sessions across various sectors. Experience working with the Military would be an advantage however is not essential.

Individuals must have a fantastic work ethic, excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work to deadline, plus excellent attention to detail. Regular travel will form a key part of the role so a full UK driving licence plus use of a car will be required.

The successful candidate must undergo a Basic DBS check, on the basis that the post involves contact with vulnerable adults, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Other relevant recruitment checks will also be carried out, including HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard and prison vetting and clearances.
