We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Nursing qualified training and education manager to work for a very reputable company specialising in support for people with learning disabilities and neurological conditions.

The Role:

  • To provide specialist advice and guidance regarding epilepsy training and professional
  • education
  • To review, update and draft all the existing external training and professional education
  • offerings
  • To represent external training and professional education at internal and external meetings in
  • respect of marketing the range of training and professional education, to extend the Society’s
  • reach and reputation
  • To act as Project manager for external training and professional education, including a bank of
  • trainers and admin staff
  • To consider and implement changes in respect of expanding and accrediting all training and
  • professional education courses
  • To ensure Epilepsy Society external training and professional education process/procedures
  • comply with legislative requirements e.g. Care Quality Commissioning, Social care and NHS
  • England educational bodies
  • Lead on the development and attainment of the directorate/team’s goals/KPI’s/objectives
  • To ensure the delivery of high quality and effective external training and professional education

The Person:

  • Essential requirements
  • RN/RMN/RNLD with current PIN
  • ENB 998 or other relevant training qualification
  • Desirable
  • Experience of gaining and maintaining accreditation for training
  • Advanced Practice in Epilepsy course or LSBU/ES BSc (Hons) Professional Nursing Practice
  • (Neuroscience Care) in Epilepsy
  • Assessor qualification
  • Management or project management qualification
  • A minimum of three years’ direct experience in training, post nurse qualification, with knowledge of
  • how to manage a team
  • Experience of running multiple projects at a time
  • Experience of assessing courses and individuals
  • Knowledge of producing business plans
  • Presenting/training to a range of audiences across health and social care
