Trust Tax Assistant

One of the UK’s leading professional services companies are currently offering a highly motivated and numerate individual a fantastic chance to develop their career with a fast-paced Private Client Tax Team. This role would be suitable for experienced administrators as well as recent school leavers or graduates looking to start a career within professional services.
This is an entry level role, supporting partners, colleagues and clients on matters relating to UK and offshore trusts and their beneficiaries. You will be looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a leading business with the option to study towards a professional qualification once established in the role.
You will assist in managing a portfolio of trust clients, preparing tax returns, interpreting the effects of trust deeds and wills, and advising clients on trust tax matters. You will be expected to develop and maintain strong knowledge of current legislation on trust and estate related matters. The depth of solutions and clients you will be exposed to will provide you with an exciting and interesting start to your career within the varied world of accountancy.
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education including a minimum of 5 GCSEs at A-C grade (including B in Maths and English). AAT qualified would be advantageous. Candidates qualified by experience with a legal or accountancy background possibly having worked in a trust tax enviroment, with bookkeeping or accounting skills, would also be considered. Individuals with no previous relevant experience but who can demonstrate that they are self motivated ambitious individuals, keen to learn and progress within a dynamic private client tax department, will also be considered.
