An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join a leading provider of support for carers across the Nottingham region. The role offers a competitive salary and on-going training and support for personal and career progression.
The charity works with over 800 carers and the people they care for, supporting people of all ages and disabilities, providing carers with essential breaks from the stresses of caring. They provide the special quality of care that gives carers the peace of mind to let someone else step into their shoes.

The role:
The service provides home care to service users of all ages in the Nottingham area and due to an increased demand they now require additional support staff to cover weekend shifts. The hours are 7.00am – 10.00pm Saturday and Sunday and there maybe additional hours available during the week. You will provide care and support to service users in their own home with an emphasis on the promotion of independent living. You will be provided with full training and supported by an excellent and hands on management team.

The person:

  • Level 2 standard Diploma or NVQ or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a health and social care setting
  • Sound understanding of good care principles
  • Ability to display empathy and warmth
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Access to own transport is essential

These roles are offered with an immediate start and will be subject to satisfactory references and DBS.
